Photo Friday #38: burgeoning

Right now, the tree in my neighbor’s yard, right next to our driveway, is a fireworks-esque explosion of bright pink flowers. It’s so pretty, I almost don’t mind how I have to shove aside the branches to get into my car, causing a dusting of pollen to settle on my car and me every time I leave the house for the next few weeks.

I also don’t mind it because it was everything I could hope for when I took this photo almost six weeks ago, in my excitement over a sign that the awful, oppressing dreariness of winter was finally coming to a close.

Thank goodness for springtime.
