Photo Friday #85: totally tubular

I’m halfway through an insane four-talks-in-two-weeks situation, and in each and every one of those talks (which are ALL DIFFERENT, thanks a lot, scheduling gods), I’m talking about how what I do, what scientists do, is important. Here is the big picture! We are figuring out the world and understanding how we work and curing diseases! Look at our fancy techniques and pretty photos and clear graphs!

While that’s true, it ignores the vast amounts of time I spend transferring tiny amounts of clear liquids into meticulously-labeled twee plastic tubes.

How do I have a steady hand for painting around the house, an eye for perfect measurements in design? I’m sure legibly labeling 0.5-cm diameter tubes has something to do with it.
