Photo Friday #90: misrepresentation

Today’s the Ides of March, and Sunday’s the holiday when the country inexplicably honors my immigrant ancestors by getting utterly plastered with green beer. But I’m more interested in celebrating Monday, otherwise known as the day they finally start filming the next season my favorite television show.

(Yup. I’ve become one of those people who pays attention to filming schedules whaaaaat.)

When I was spending hours with a paintbrush and those mirrors, I streamed episodes of Sherlock from Netflix to keep me company. And when the last episode from the first season aired, I discovered that this is the image Netflix chose, out of the entire second season, to represent the next set of episodes. The second season has a running time of four and a half hours and yet they chose a still of Benedict Cumberbatch during the ten seconds of the show in which he’s half naked, making a rather unsettling facial expression.

It made me giggle so much that I had to take a photo of it.

Still. I can’t wait to see what they choose to represent the next season, when it finally airs TWO YEARS LATER. Cause for celebration indeed!
