Photo Friday #91: not for lab

I spend a lot of my day doing bench science. That is, I get a protocol, calculate how much of each reagent I need to add and how long it needs to incubate, put it all together, and then assess whether or not I did it correctly by the final outcome.

Then I come home, thumb through my recipes, decide how much food to make for dinner and how long it will take to cook, put it all together, and then decide whether or not what I made is tasty.

Indeed, most of bench science is a lot like cooking. Not to mention that old pyrex glassware is involved in both.

Theoretically, at least. Ironically, with the way I cook, this measuring cup that’s “not for lab use” isn’t really used in the kitchen, either.
