Swiss miss adventures, the prelude

If you’re one of the few following me on Instagram, perhaps you’ll remember this gem from a few weeks back:

And if you don’t, well... double-check that date up there, and you’ll know exactly what I’m up to today!

Indeed. I am capping off the hectic month of April with a European vacation, which I planned relatively at the last minute (I purchased my ticket just over a month ago). My late planning is my own dang fault, though, as I’ve known for the better part of a year that I need to be in Switzerland on May 10. It’s when – and where – one of my best friends is getting married!

That’s when Mr. P and I got the official invitation. Clearly I was excited (though not excited enough to actually eat the invitation, appearances aside). Lil’ C’s a bride, y’all!

I’m sure she’ll look slightly more bridal this weekend, though every bit as gorgeous. That photo was taken one of the last times I saw her in person – at another international wedding, haha. As for why she’s getting married in Switzerland? It’s where her fiancé is from, simple as that.

And so. What have I been DIYing recently? Well, this trip, with a little assistance from the public library.

(The librarian asked, as he was checking out my books, “Going somewhere?” I joked back, “How could you tell?” “They train us really well,” he replied.)

So! If you need me, that’s where I’ll be: navigating my first international trip solo, faking my way through understanding German, celebrating my dear friends, and eating ALL THE CHOCOLATE!

1. I'm jealous that you are going to Europe, especially Switzerland.

2. Have lots of fun.

3. Please, oh please, take tons of pictures and do at least a week's worth of posts so I can love through you.
